Masks will not be mandatory in Ontario schools this September, the province's education ministry says.
In an email to CBC Toronto on Monday, the ministry said most health and safety requirements for the upcoming school year will remain unchanged from the end of the 2021-22 school year, which includes the voluntary use of masks.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand - A Japanese sailor was attacked Monday in the Solomon Islands during a Second World War memorial service that was also attended by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman. Radio New Zealand reported that the victim was part of a Japanese navy media team and that he was stabbed in the neck with a pair of scissors, receiving minor injuries.
