Investigators say that sometime after 2:30 a.m. on Friday a Freshco store was broken into. An ATM near the store entrance was then taken.

No description of the suspects has been released.

This is the fourth bank machine theft in the region since the beginning of the year.

In a bizarre incident last month, police officers in Guelph, Ont. said they witnessed a pickup truck dragging an ATM from a strip club that doubles as a church.

Officers followed the truck for several blocks before the tether broke and the bank machine was disconnected on the street.

The pick-up managed to get away, police said.
