Politicians and their staff are back inside Parliament Hill after Centre Block was evacuated twice Wednesday morning.
People were first ushered out of Centre Block by security shortly after 9 a.m.
as fire alarms sounded. Fire trucks arrived on scene and several minutes later, the buildings were given the all-clear.
A short time later, fire alarms interrupted at least one news conference, and staff and politicians were ordered to leave again. Everyone was allowed to return about 15 minutes later.
The reason for the evacuations was not immediately clear but firefighters remained on scene.
