Vancouver-bound Air Canada flight lands in Toronto

An Air Canada flight travelling from the New York City area to Vancouver has been cancelled, after the plane landed in Toronto.

Air Canada Flight 549 took off from Newark Liberty International Airport just before 6 p.m. ET and touched down in Toronto shortly before 8 p.m. ET.

The flight will not carry on to Vancouver, according to Air Canada’s website.

A Twitter posts from a passenger shows oxygen masks hanging from overhead compartments.
