Hundreds of passengers spent hours stuck on the runway at the Vancouver International Airport on Tuesday, when their plane's front landing gear became trapped in mud.
The China Airlines flight from Taipei initially landed safely before 6:30 p.m., but while the plane was taxiing to the gate, it veered off the tarmac and the front wheel sank into wet, muddy ground.
The pilot tried, three times, to free the plane, but the aircraft didn't budge.
No injuries were reported, but passengers were made to wait before they were taken to the terminal.
It took hours for crews to eventually free the jet.
