
Northern Saskatchewan school locked down in 'ongoing incident'

A school in a northern Saskatchewan community is in lockdown as RCMP respond to an “active, ongoing incident.”
Police are investigating the incident at Dene High School in La Loche, a remote town about 600 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
“Parents and community members are asked to not attend the Dene High School at this time due to the active, ongoing incident,” police said.
“Parents only are asked to attend the Ducharme Elementary School on Mission Street in La Loche.”
RCMP have note released details, but Saskatewan Premier Brad Wall posted a statement on Facebook about “horrific events.”
