Three dead dogs found shot in head: Ont. police

EXETER, Ont. - Provincial police say they're investigating the discovery of three dead dogs in an area known as the Hay Swamp, located at the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority west of Exeter, Ont.

OPP said Wednesday night that they were alerted to the dead dogs on Saturday by a group of rabbit hunters who came across the dogs lying in the ditch.

Police say the dogs were all males and had been shot in the head.

Two of the dogs were mixed breed hounds and one was a purebred Walkerhound.

OPP are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact investigators.
