Bus crash closes B.C.'s Sea-to-Sky Highway

SQUAMISH, B.C. -- A head-on collision involving a packed charter bus has sent one man to hospital and closed down a busy British Columbia coastal highway.

Squamish RCMP say a man was seriously injured when the vehicle he was driving collided with a Pacific Coach Lines bus along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, between Vancouver and Whistler.

The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday and left the larger vehicle blocking traffic in the southbound lane.

Police aren't able to say when the busy highway would reopen.

The investigation is ongoing.
