There was no immediate sign of a problem when the Boeing 737 landed in the U.K., a spokesperson from Belfast International Airport said.

However, the spokesperson said, it is possible the pilot sensed something was wrong with the controls or in the galley.

According to Air Canada, an "unusual odour" was detected in the galley, prompting the landing.

Crews are now looking into what might have gone wrong, and checking the aircraft for anything out of the ordinary.
