Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman is out for the season.
GM Alex Anthopoulos said the young right-hander tore his left ACL during a bunt drill and that he is “crushed.
”
Stroman, 23, had a strong rookie season last year for the Jays, going 11-6 with a 3.65 ERA. It is the second major injury for the Jays this spring training. Outfielder Michael Saunders is out until at least April with a knee injury.
The Jays also announced that slugger Edwin Encarnacion is out four-to-five days with back inflammation.
