J.J. Abrams drops trailer for surprise 'Cloverfield' sequel

A surprise trailer has been released for "10 Cloverfield Lane," an apparent sequel to 2008 horror movie "Cloverfield."

Starring John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and John Gallagher Jr, the trailer sees the characters fighting off an unknown force from what looks to be the underground shelter where they live.

The movie, from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" director J.J. Abrams, was not widely known to be in existence until the release of the trailer. It has been written by Josh Campbell, Matthew Stuecken and Damien Chazelle, and directed by Dan Trachtenberg and will hit theaters on March 11.
