Justin Timberlake to write songs for animated film 'Trolls'

Justin Timberlake's first film since becoming a new father, will be to write and perform songs for the upcoming animated film "Trolls.

The DreamWorks Animation movie will bring the popular Troll dolls with their wild, unruly hair to life on the big screen in November.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Timberlake has been tapped, not only to lend his voice to the film which was announced last fall, but also to write original songs for the characters.

The singer will incarnate the character Branch, described as a hardcore survivalist who hides his true colors.

The comedy also stars the voice of Anna Kendrick.

"Trolls" is set for a Nov. 4, 2016 release.
