The surprise audition happened back in October and was posted in full Monday.

Kanye introduces himself as a producer, and says to the amusement of judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr.: "I always wanted to rap, and nobody really believed in me."

A deadpan Urban replies, "I hope that works out man."

To curry favour with Lopez, Kanye chose to sing "Gold Digger," a song that gives a shout-out to the singer.
