Marcia Andreychuk and Joel Hamilton spent the past year turning their kitchen into a colourful match of Marge and Homer Simpson's.

Their last names were subtly dropped during a recent episode of the show when Homer and Bart were watching a hockey game.

A sports announcer can be heard referring to Andreychuk and Hamilton as players.

Andreychuk says she nearly fell out of her chair and her husband was thrilled.

She says it's neat way to be part of the show.
