Benedict Cumberbatch revealed in 'Doctor Strange' costume

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the English actor Benedict Cumberbatch is pictured for the first time as the Doctor Strange character from the Marvel comic series.

The first official image of Benedict Cumberbatch ("Sherlock," The Imitation Game," "12 Years a Slave") as Marvel's magical superhero Doctor Strange has been released through an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Filming for the comic book adaptation, which also stars Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Mads Mikkelsen, only began in November. The photograph of Cumberbatch marks one of the first times the actor has donned the Doctor Strange costume.

"Doctor Strange" is slated to hit theaters in November 2016.
